Key Focus Areas:
Enhanced National Commitments: Countries are expected to submit updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by September 2025, aiming to align with the 1.5°C target.

THE JARGON DECODER
Decoding complex policy terms into plain English so you can focus on making an impact.
📌 Term: Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) →
Using ecosystems like forests, wetlands, or mangroves as natural tools to tackle challenges like climate change, food insecurity, and disaster risk.
Instead of building concrete flood barriers, you might restore a mangrove. Instead of over-engineering a carbon capture facility, you protect a forest. These approaches not only solve problems, they regenerate the planet while they’re at it.
🌿 Real-world example:
Restoring coastal wetlands to reduce storm surges and protect nearby communities - while also increasing biodiversity and capturing carbon. That's NbS in action.
