UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and Girls – 2025 Call for Proposals by UN Trust Fund (administered by UN Women)
Funding: USD 150,000–800,000 (4-year grants) | Location: Global | Description: Under the theme “Resourcing Resilience,” the 2025 Call for Proposals supports civil society organizations advancing efforts to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. 📌 Term: Carbon Leakage →
What it actually means:

When a country tightens climate rules (like carbon taxes), polluting companies shift production to places with weaker regulations — making global emissions go up instead of down.

Example:

If steel factories leave Europe for countries with no carbon pricing, global emissions rise even though Europe’s look cleaner on paper. That’s carbon leakage — and why many regions are now introducing “carbon border adjustments.”
